Background

Having previously sold NFTs to their collectors, Verse thought to turn next to selling generative art as an additional project for their galleries. Verse used a custody model, through which collectors could pay in USD. They wanted to use Engine Flex to enable machine learning projects—storing machine learning datasets on IPFS and then incorporating them into a generative script.

Custom solution

Engine developed a custody-model solution that led to the selling 150 editions at approximately $300 each and generating approximately $50,000 in secondary trading volume.

  • Deployed our first Engine Flex contracts, allowing Verse to work with artist Mark Webster on a machine learning generative project.
  • Provided contract tweaks for added customization.
  • Engine technology seamlessly integrated into Verse’s existing product to allow for both generative and non-generative minting.
